I guess that "Who we are" should be "Who am I". My
name is Cameron Foster, and I have recently retired to Athens County. Until my retirement, I had
worked as a videotape editor for KTVU, Oakland-San Francisco, for over 24 years. In 1996, I was fortunate enough
to win an Emmy award for my editing work on the series "49er's Playbook", a sports series that ran in the San Francisco market.
While not a big sports fan, I was also the principal editor for "Warriors Roundtable", a series which ran for years on ESPN,
and may still be running for all I know! While at KTVU, I brightened many of your lives by
creating the world's first Chia Pet commercial, not to mention The Clapper. (please see the
demo page for some things I've done that actually have some redeeming social value!)
Previously, I was at WUAB, Cleveland, doing mostly commercial work. (anyone remember Sohio commercials?)
I began my broadcast career at WCET, Cincinnati's PBS station, while I was attending the College-Conservatory of Music (CCM is now
a part of the University of Cincinnati). I also worked a few years for WKRC and WCPO in Cincinnati. All in all, I've
spent 44 years in broadcasting in one capacity or another.
I grew up in Gallipolis, and went to Ohio University, so I feel like I'm back home again.
